I think my 6 yr old son may have ADHD?- LONG question?

It's possible he has ADHD or an anxiety disorder or a number of other things. Unfortunately, it generally takes a lot of time and effort to come up with the right diagnosis. I read your list and I will say that the bedwetting is probably not related to any of the other incidents. A lot of boys wet the bed and it has nothing to do with anything other than a bladder that hasn't developed at the same pace as the rest of his body. Also, even if there is something going on with him medically (and I do include any type of mental disorder in that), there is no excuse for a child to punch, bite or call their mother names like that. I certainly hope you have a plan of action in place for such behavior. Discipline can go a long way and does not need to be replaced by understanding in those instances. It will send your son the wrong message. One of my boys has ADHD, but nothing near to the extent that you are talking about. Make sure you are seeing someone that has an in-depth knowledge of disorders in children and you may be better off seeing a psychiatrist as opposed to a psychologist. That way meds can be prescribed if deemed necessary. Best of luck.
