To what do you attribute the declining ratio of Christians in the United States?

Somewhat relevant, I saw another poll (which I can't find) that said many polled who were non-religious still identified themselves as "culturally Christian", and with that demographic included, over 90% of Americans still see themselves as Christian. Although with a looser standard than in previous decades.
