How to download my videos from my camcorder?

I have a Hitachi DVD HDD HydribCam Camcorder and it's where you use the disks called Maxwell DVD-R camcorder. It says I need to use a usb Cord but I don't have one and refuse to buy one. Is there a way I can Put my videos from the camcorders c.d's to my pc? Plus i've tried putting the disk in the computer, but it wont save to the computer and I mainly wanna save it to the computer so I can use Windows Movie Maker to edit it. Please and Thank You!!!!
