I have a drive that has system recover which is PRESARIO_RP and I can't Access it and I have files in there.?

I putted some files in there for backup but then they disappeared, It says I got 500 MB left, and it bothers me when I got low space on my Drive, I putted about 3 GB on there while the drive has 11 GB. Whenever I open the drive, all it shows is a folder "Recovery" and when I open it, it doesn't show anything. I know it's secured and I can't change the security settings because then it will pop up with the message about Access is denied when applying security information. I really want to get those useless backup files out of that drive. Can anyone help me with my issue ? I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate, Compaq Presario C700 laptop. 2 GB RAM, 140 GB hard drive and a 11.4 GB Recovery drive.
